Behavioural Expectations COVID 19 Safety Requirements

Expectations for Student:

• Do not attend school if feeling unwell; tell a parent, guardian or teacher if feeling sick.
• If unwell, student will be sent to Student Services, parents contacted to arrange to go home.
• No touching, hugging or close quarters contact with peers. Maintain sufficient physical distance outside the classroom and avoid preventable contact inside classrooms.
• Non-contact greetings are to be used at all times.
• Where possible, avoid close proximity when queuing and if floor markings are in play, use these as a guide.
• Bring their own equipment to school – equipment is not to be shared.
• Use own water bottles wherever practical.
• Washing hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or using hand sanitiser, when entering school, and at regular intervals throughout the day is recommended.
• Cover coughs and sneezes with one’s elbow or a tissue.
• Place used tissues directly into a bin.
• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth and if this occurs, wash or sanitise hands asap.
• School uniform onsite at all times. Students will not get changed for Physical Education classes until further notice.

Mobile phones are to be off and away all day as per Department and College Policy.

In the Classroom:

• When entering or leaving a classroom maintain good physical distance.
• Before entering classrooms, use hand sanitiser supplied by the teacher.
• Inside the classroom, physical distancing encouraged between students and staff.
• Where possible, classroom furniture is arranged to promote physical distancing. Furniture is not to be moved by students.
• Students are to sit in designated seats as directed by the teacher.
• Where feasible, submit work electronically.

On school grounds:

• During breaks students are required to apply physical distancing measures and avoid direct social contact.
• No deliberate personal physical contact is permitted.
• At recess and lunch, wash hands or use hand sanitiser before handling food.
• Do not share food or water at any time.
• Ball sports are permitted provided there is no physical contact between students. Wash hands at the end of break and before entering classrooms.
